🌐 Does My Friendship Lamp Need 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi?

Yes! Friendship Lamps connect and communicate using Wi-Fi on the 2.4 GHz band.

You can set up your lamp using:

• The Filimin Bridge (included with some older models)

• The App Setup (using the Friendship Lamp app)

❓ What If I Don’t Have a 2.4 GHz Network?

Most home routers support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. But sometimes:

• The 2.4 GHz band is turned off

• It’s labeled as a guest network

• It shares a name (SSID) with the 5 GHz band using a feature like Smart Connect

🛠️ No 2.4 GHz? You Still Have Options:

• Use a Filimin Bridge:
  Even if your router doesn’t support 2.4 GHz or you can’t enable it, the Filimin Bridge creates its own 2.4 GHz network just for your Friendship Lamp.

  If you're in a shared network (like in a dorm or care facility) and don’t have router access, you can try setting up your lamp using a personal mobile hotspot.
