All new Friendship Lamps and Frames come with a Filimin Bridge. If your Friendship Lamp was purchased in 2018 or before, it may not have originally included a Filimin Bridge.
Original Filimin Bridge:
Updated Filimin Bridge:
The Filimin Bridge is a small black box (about the size of a brownie) designed to make connecting your Friendship Lamp quick and easy! Instead of using our website to configure the Friendship Lamp to your Wi-Fi network, you just need to plug the bridge into your router or modem as directed and leave it attached to stay online. Once you're set up with your bridge, you're free to move your Friendship Lamp anywhere within your router's normal Wi-Fi signal range. For full instructions on how to set up your Filimin bridge, please see Connecting with the Filimin bridge/Quick Setup.
If you bought your Friendship Lamp as a Set of Two, your Friendship Lamps are already grouped together and ready to communicate, no further customization required! If you bought your lamp as a Single, you can join another lamp's group (or create your own group and invite another lamp to join yours) by Registering Your Filimin. You can also register your lamp to gain access to customizable settings like Fade time, Sleep time, and Colors.
If you don't have access to a router or don't want to use your bridge, you can still connect your Friendship Lamp with our Direct to Wi-Fi setup. Be sure to unplug the bridge completely from the router and the electrical outlet before continuing with this setup method.
If your router doesn't have a usable 2.4 GHz band, using a bridge can help you connect. Please see Do I need Wi-Fi to use a Friendship Lamp? for details.
