Friendship Lamps subscriptions are managed through the app store account where the subscription was purchased.
This may be the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on the device used when subscribing.
Our support team cannot directly cancel, refund, or change subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google. Those changes must be made through the app store account.
Which products require a subscription?
Most Friendship Lamps and Frames do not require a subscription for normal lamp-to-lamp communication.
A subscription is required for:
Optional subscriptions may also be used for features such as:
- Remote Touch
- Phone notifications
- Circles
- Extended Warranty coverage while the subscription remains active

- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select the Friendship Lamps subscription.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
If you do not see the subscription, make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used to purchase it.
How to cancel a Google Play subscription
If you subscribed on an Android device:
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Tap your profile icon.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select the Friendship Lamps subscription.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
If you do not see the subscription, make sure you are signed in with the same Google account used to purchase it.
I canceled, but I was still charged
App store subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple or Google.
If you were charged after canceling:
- Confirm that the subscription shows as canceled in your app store account
- Check whether a different Apple ID or Google account was used
- Check whether you have more than one active subscription
- Contact Apple or Google for billing help or refund requests
Friendship Lamps support cannot issue refunds for charges processed through Apple or Google.
I deleted the app. Did that cancel my subscription?
No. Deleting the Friendship Lamps App does not cancel an active subscription.
You must cancel the subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
I sold, gifted, or stopped using my lamp
If you no longer use the lamp, make sure to cancel any active subscription through the app store account where it was purchased.
Unplugging the lamp, deleting the app, removing the lamp from a group, or giving the lamp to someone else does not automatically cancel the subscription.
I got a new phone
If you got a new phone and want to keep using the same subscription, make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used to purchase the subscription.
Then open the Friendship Lamps App and choose:
Use My Existing Lamp from the WiFi setup section.
If the app does not recognize the subscription, check for a restore purchase option or contact support with the Lamp ID.
Subscription limits
A mobile device can have a subscription plan for up to three lamps.
Only one lamp can be actively synced to the app at a time for Remote Touch and notifications. Switching the synced lamp changes which lamp receives app features on that device.
If you need subscriptions for more than three lamps, you may need to use another mobile device and app store account.
FriendLi subscriptions
FriendLi lamps require an active subscription for each FriendLi lamp.
If a FriendLi is pulsing red, it may not have an active subscription or may not be able to verify the subscription.
Check that:
- The subscription is active
- The correct Lamp ID is linked
- The lamp is connected to the internet
- The app store account used to subscribe is signed in on the device
Store gift cards and subscription payments
Friendship Lamps store gift cards cannot be used to pay for app subscriptions.
Subscriptions are billed through Apple or Google, so an Apple App Store gift card or Google Play gift card may be used if supported by that app store account.
