If your Friendship Lamp is blinking, it usually means the lamp is starting up, reconnecting to Wi-Fi, or ready for setup. In most cases, blinking lights are completely normal.
Below are the most common reasons you may see your lamp blinking.
1. The Lamp Is Starting Up
When you first plug in your Friendship Lamp, it may blink briefly while it starts up and reconnects to the internet.
This usually only lasts a few seconds, and the lamp goes dark/turns off when it connects.
2. The Lamp Is Reconnecting to Wi-Fi
If your internet connection was interrupted (for example after a power outage or router restart), the lamp may blink while it reconnects to Wi-Fi.
Once the connection is restored, the lamp should return to normal operation. If it blinks for more than 5 minutes, you'll need to reconnect the lamp to Wi-Fi using the app setup.
3. The Lamp Is Ready for Wi-Fi Setup
If the lamp is blinking lime green/yellow, it usually means the lamp is ready to connect to Wi-Fi.
This can happen if:
• the lamp has been reset
• the lamp has not been set up yet
• the lamp lost its saved Wi-Fi connection
In this case, you can reconnect the lamp using the Friendship Lamp app.

4. The Lamp Was Recently Reset
If the lamp was unplugged and plugged in multiple times quickly, it may enter reset mode.
When this happens, the lamp will blink to indicate it is ready for setup again.
5. The Lamp Is Showing a Status Pattern
Different blinking colors can indicate different statuses, such as reconnecting or preparing for setup.

When Should I Be Concerned?
You may want to troubleshoot if the lamp:
• blinks continuously for a long time
• will not reconnect to WiFi
• does not respond to touch
In these cases, reconnecting the lamp to WiFi usually resolves the issue.
