How do I clean my Friendship Lamp?

All Friendship Lamp models can be safely cleaned with a soft, dry cloth for regular dusting and upkeep.

Deep Cleaning

If your lamp needs a deeper clean—especially if little ones are touching it or someone in your home is sick—you can gently use disinfectant wipes such as:

• Lysol® Disinfecting Wipes

• Super Sani-Cloth® Wipes

We’ve tested both and found them safe and effective for most surfaces.

Special Note for Wooden Lamps

For lamps with wooden bases or frames (like our Mid-Century styles):

• Use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water or a gentle cleaner like diluted dish soap.

• Do not use harsh disinfectants, alcohol wipes, or strong cleaning sprays, as these may damage the wood finish over time.

• Always dry the wood thoroughly after wiping.
  

Cleaning Safety Tips

To protect your lamp:

• Unplug it before cleaning.

• Never submerge it in water or spray it directly.

• Do not remove the acrylic shade from the base.

• Avoid abrasive cleaners or rough scrubbing materials.
