-
Open the WiFi settings on your phone or computer.
-
Look for your home network. Do you see two versions? For example:
-
YourWifi
-
YourWifi_5G
-
If so, choose the one that doesn’t include "5G" or "5GHz" in the name—this is usually the 2.4GHz network.
(Example from iOS shown)
✅ Method 2: Check on an Android Phone
If you're using Android, you can check the exact frequency.
-
Connect to your home WiFi.
-
Go to Settings > Network & internet > WiFi
-
Tap the gear or settings icon next to your connected network.
-
Look for the frequency—it will show 2.4GHz or 5GHz.
Note: The steps might vary slightly depending on your Android version.

-
Look for your network name in the 2.4GHz list.
If you see it there, you're good to go!
✅ Method 4: Check on a Windows PC
- Connect to your WiFi.
- Click the WiFi icon in the bottom-right taskbar.
- Click on Properties for your connected network.
- Scroll down to the Properties section.
