Friendship Lamps connect to Wi-Fi in one of two ways:
App Setup (bridgeless) – our most popular and current method
Bridge Setup – optional, with a Filimin Bridge (available for purchase)
Option 1: App Setup (Bridgeless)
This is the most common setup method and works great for nearly all users.
You’ll need:
A mobile device (phone or tablet)
Access to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network name and password
Once connected, your Friendship Lamp will remember your network info and stay connected on its own!
This setup is ideal for:
Anyone using a mobile device
Shared/public Wi-Fi networks (like dorms or care homes)
People without access to their router or LAN ports
Users who had issues with a bridge in the past
Set up your lamp using the app
Don’t Have a Mobile Device?
No worries! You can use our Advanced Setup method on any wireless device (like a laptop). Learn about Advanced Setup
Option 2: Bridge Setup (Optional Add-On)
While we no longer include a bridge by default, you can purchase a Filimin Bridge separately if you'd prefer a plug-and-play experience.
The bridge connects directly to your router using an Ethernet cable and creates a small 2.4 GHz network for your lamp.
A bridge is helpful if:
You don’t know your Wi-Fi password
You don’t want to use the app
You’re using a single-band 5 GHz router
You want a simple, automatic connection
