If you’re setting up your Friendship Lamp and can't use the Friendship Lamps App, this guide will help you connect using a web browser on any wireless device.
Note: If your lamp came with a bridge, you can also set it up that way. For bridge setup, see our Bridge Setup Guide. If you choose not to use the bridge, please unplug it before continuing.
Step 1. Create or Log into Your Friendship Lamps Account
- On a wireless device (laptop, smartphone, or tablet), go to manager.filimin.com.
- Click "Sign Up" to create an account or log in if you already have one.
- If signing up, enter your name, email, and password, then click Register. Save this info for future logins.
Step 2: Add Your Friendship Lamp
- Start with your lamp unplugged.
- Inside manager.filimin.com, open the blue sidebar (on mobile, tap the three lines in the top right).
- Click "Add Device" and plug in your Friendship Lamp near your Wi-Fi device. It should start blinking lime green (ready to connect).
-
Find your Device ID:
- Lamps – ID is on the bottom.
- Frames – ID is on the back sticker.
- Enter the Device ID, choose a nickname, and click Next.
- On the next page, click the Advanced Setup link at the bottom.
Step 3: Connect to the Friendship Lamp’s Wi-Fi
- Without closing the browser, open your device's Wi-Fi settings.
- Turn off mobile data (if using a smartphone).
- Connect to the network named Filimin_xxxxxxx (your Device ID).
- Use the password: I love you (with spaces, capital "I").
- If you see a "No Internet" warning, ignore it and continue.
Step 4: Connect the Lamp to Your Wi-Fi
- Switch back to the browser tab for Friendship Lamp Setup. Your lamp should now blink purple (ready to save Wi-Fi settings).
- Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password carefully (check capitalization & special characters).
-
Click "Save Settings". Your lamp should:
- Blink lime green, then
- Pause on red, then teal, then
- Show a rainbow animation and go dark (successful connection).
Step 5: Finalize & Test
- Reconnect your device to your regular Wi-Fi (turn mobile data back on if needed).
- Return to Filimin Setup in your browser.
- If setup was successful, tap your Friendship Lamp—it should light up!
- If you see a "Device may take longer to connect" message, wait until the blinking stops and click Retry.
- If your lamp keeps blinking, see Color Status Codes: What your Friendship Lamp is thinking for troubleshooting.
Step 6: Customize & Enjoy!
- Your dashboard will now show all lamps in your group.
- Customize colors, nicknames, fade times, and sleep times anytime at manager.filimin.com.
- If you move your lamp, just plug it in—it will automatically reconnect!
